About

I’ve always been a very visual thinker, and I knew I had to find an avenue for my incessant imagination. I started my animation career in Adobe Animate (Previously called Flash) with an inexpensive drawing tablet, but soon found the limits of my finer dexterity, and sought after a way to animate without having to draw every frame. This lead me to Adobe After Effects, an incredibly powerful and diverse program that exploded my horizons. I quickly discovered the other visual arts that After Effects was capable of, besides simple 2D stick figure animation, and fell in love with Visual Effects. Finding clever ways to manipulate the simple tools After Effects offered to create complex, life-like visuals lit up my imagination. However, I knew where I wanted to go next: the vast, complicated world of 3D. I worked hard selling my services as an animator, as well as getting a part-time job in the real world, until I had enough money to afford a capable computer. I am now busy teaching myself Blender, and I hope to be able to go to College to study my passion.

The Name

I made this persona when I was a kid. The idea was simple: my real name is Riley, so that’s the first part done. I was also obsessed with Dinosaurs at the time (I loved them way past the acceptable age.. I am not ashamed…) and I play the Trombone. So that’s the second part. Riley-bones. Now, on the social media platforms where the username “Riley-bones” was already taken, I go by “Ornenphotia”. This name represents my logo: “Ørn” is the Norwegian word for eagle, and “Photia” is Greek for fire. Thus, it represents a “Bird of fire” or, a feather and flame, my logo.
